Khinkali is a very popular Georgian dumpling made of twisted knobs of dough, stuffed with meat and spices. In Georgia we have different styles of khinkali. Meat can be only lamb or beef and lamb together with onion and spices. 

  1. Khachapuri 

Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian dish of cheese-filled bread. The bread is leavened and allowed to rise, molded into various shapes, and then filled in the center with a mixture of cheese, eggs, and other ingredients. 

  1. Mtsvadi 

If you love meat and especially pork, then Mtsvadi is definitely your food. Mtsvadi can be made with pork, mutton or veal. Beef should be used only if all other options are unavailable. But if you only eat Halal food,you can try chicken BBQ with grilled vegetables. 

  1. Satsivi

Poultry (chicken or turkey) served with a thinned paste of walnut, garlic and herbs.  Considered a winter dish (“tsivi” means  cold in Georgian), satsivi is usually eaten around the Christmas holiday and the New Year.

  1. Lobio

Lobio  is a popular dish made with kidney beans and usually eaten with Mchadi and marinated vegetables . The Georgian word ‘lobio’ means ‘beans’. There are a number of varieties of this dish. 

  1. Shkmeruli

Shkmeruli is made with fried chicken and garlic, which you should try before leaving Georgia. It is a West side traditional dish, which expresses the place pretty well. 

7.Pkhali

This dish is perfect for vegetarians and nonvegetarians. Pkali is made with spinach and walnuts. In restaurants they bring fried eggplant with walnuts as well. So you will be able to taste two different meals at the same time.
