Vashlovani National Park is home to some of Georgia’s most unique and diverse landscapes. Here you’ll find narrow canyons and jagged peaks, expansive savanna, bubbling mud volcanoes, barren plateaus, forested mountains, and a snaking river Alazani forming the border with Azerbaijan. This huge swathe of land, located in the very southeastern corner of Georgia, is spectacularly beautiful and full of surprises.
Artsivi (Eagle) Gorge Natural Monument represents an unique complex consisting of two sites. The first one is a limestone rock canyon, while the other is a adjacent forested area, where Khornabuji fortress was built (V c).The canyon with a picturesque landscape is a home to several birds of prey (eagle, vulture etc.). Looking at the hanging cliffs from the rocky slopes of the gorge, it is possible to observe nests of eagles and other rare/extinct plants, which cannot be seen anywhere else in Georgia.The length is of the pedestrian route is 1 km, which can be covered in 1 hour.
known as the Castle of Queen Tamara, is an ancient castle in the eastern part of Georgia.It is located approximately two miles / 3 kilometers north of Dedoplistsqaro in the region of Kakheti.The castle's ruined remains are sited on the imposing Tsiv-Gombori Range.
