Overview

Even though Geographically Georgia is a small country, its culture and beauty cannot be explored and understood within a span of just one week.There are mountains, with breathtaking views, cities combined with the century-old history  and modesty, 14 different regions with their own story, nature and culture.  We have done our best to combine the essence of Georgia into an eventful 7 days adventure. These 7 days you will be exploring not only to look at sights  but get a taste of  Georgian cuisine, 8000 years of wine history, culture and tradition.

Itinerary

Day 1: kutaisi arrival and overnight

You will be arriving in the afternoon in kutaisi. After hotel accommodation we will explore Kutaisi city and two sightseeings. One is Bagrati cathedral which is built on the top of the hill above Kutaisi as a symbol of united Georgia. Afterwards we will visit Gelati monastery, located 30 minutes drive from Kutaisi. According to your wish, you can have dinner at a Georgian restaurant, where you can taste traditional food. Back to the hotel and get ready for the next day.

Day 2: Kutaisi - Sataplia - prometheus cave - Borjomi

After breakfast check out from the hotel and ready for another adventurous day. We will be starting from Prometheus cave which is about 60-70 million years old.here you will meet a lot of real masterpieces of nature - stalactites, and stalagmites, which makes you feel like you are in a fairy environment. Afterwards we will visit Sataplia Managed reserve where you will see Dinosaur Footprint Conservation Building, Exhibition Hall,Glass Panorama view, Cafes, Souvenir Shops, well-organized Caves and Marked Trails. After exploring sataplia heading directly to Borjomi municipality, which is located in Samtskhe - Javakheti region and takes around 3 hour driving. Hotel accommodation and overnight here.

Day 3 : Borjomi - Vardzia - Rabati - Borjomi

Breakfast at the hotel and starting another beautiful day full of adventures. Our first thightseend is Vardzia which is a 50 minutes drive from Borjomi. On the way we will be enjoying a nice scenario, spruce forest view and mountains. It is not only a historical monument, but a real cultural city centre. A town within the town. There is a church, mosque, synagogue, small park, History Museum, various shops, hotels and even a civil registry office inside the fortress walls. Afterwards we will be visiting Vardzia cave city. Vardzia is a tremendous complex of man-made caves hewn from a sheer rock wall. The complex had more than 6,000 rooms on 19 levels that served all kinds of purposes – as sleeping quarters, defensive structures, chapels and pharmacies. There were at least 25 wine cellars, plus a nunnery on the upper level. Coming back to Borjomi and staying overnight here.

Day 4: Borjomi central park - Gori - uplistsikhe - Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel, we will check out, collect our luggage and start exploring Borjomi national park, Where you can taste Borjomi mineral water, which comes from underground. After the park we will head to the Gori city 80km away from Borjomi. If you have a vish, we can visit Joseph Stalin museum, the leader of the Soviet Union, who was born in Gori. afterwards we will visit Uplistsikhe cave city, an ancient rock-hewn town which played a significant role in Georgian history over a period of approximately 3,000 years. Uplistsikhe is listed among the historical monuments protected by UNESCO. After exploring Uplistsikhe we will head to the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi city. Check in to the hotel and overnight here.

Day 5 : Tbilisi - Gudauri - kazbegi - tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel. Heading by comfortable transport to the North side of Georgia towards the Kazbegi region, surrounded by mountains. On the way we will stop in Jinvali, where before there was a village and now it is all covered by water and is dum, take some pictures and continue driving towards Ananuri architectural complex. battles it hosted. The fortress, which dates to the 17th century, bore witness to centuries of battles, fires, and a lot of peasant revolts. Continue our driving towards Gudauri, a winter ski resort. Stop at Gudauri friendship panorama, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of mountains. After that, head to Kazbegi and visit Gergeti holy trinity church, which is located under the mount kazbegi (5047m). Hotel accommodation and overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 6 : Tbilisi - Sighnaghi - Tsinandali - Tbilisi

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will explore the wine region - Kakheti, where most of the vineyards are located. On the way you will enjoy the view of vineyards and Caucasus mountains in the background.
Our first stop will be Bodbe monastery, where Saint Nino was buried. Monastery is among tall Cypress trees on a steep hillside overlooking the Alazani Valley, with the background of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Afterwards visit Sighnaghi - city of love. Explore the old streets of this beautiful city and enjoy your views of the Caucasus mountain.
Our last stop will be in Tsinandali estate. The complex in Tsinandali embraces the memorial house, a landscape garden, a historical winery, wine cellar, hotel and a café. This place is recognized as a historical site of wine's origin, with the first recorded bottling of wine taking place there in the 1800s. Taste Tsinandali wines, explore the estate and come back to the city. Overnight Tbilisi.

Day 7 : Tbilisi city tour - departure

Explore the capital of Georgia, feel the past and modern life, stroll around in old Tbilisi streets.

Starting our tour from The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, commonly known as Sameba.It is the biggest and the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Our walking tour starts from Mekekhi cathedral, which is located on the left bank of the river Mtkvari, on the cliff plateau. From here we walk into Rike park and take a ride in the cable car, which goes up on Mtatsminda hill and will see the Mother of Georgia.

Walk down to Narikala fortress, which is dominating the Old Town skyline. No one leaves Tbilisi without walking around this amazing fortress, continue exploring old streets of Tbilisi, Sulphur baths - the district of naturally hot mineral waters, a place which was popular from the beginning and is one of the must seen places of Tbilisi.

Then walk across the bridge of peace, which is newly constructed with a modern design and brings you back from the past to the present. Our walking tour ends here.
