From very far to the capital city there is a place – Svaneti. A place lost in mountains. Here everything is different. You can see mountains from everywhere, people are also different but of course hospitable and friendly, but their life went through harsh environments which made them stubborn and strong.
If you want to try something different but at the same time amazing, if you want to explore another part of Georgia, then this tour package is definitely for you. Only important thing is that do not forget warm clothes because it is freathing there.
The mountainous region of Svaneti includes Upper and Lower Svaneti.The main peaks of the Caucasus are gathered in Svaneti: Shkhara (5068 m), Janga (5060 m), Gestola (4860 m), Tetnuldi (4860 m) Ortava Ushba rock massif (4700 m) and others..Mestia Municipality is a hub of tourism and mountaineering – highland tourist routes pass through Nakri, Becho, Lekhziri and Latfar passes. Svaneti is not only a picturesque and original region, but also a real treasure of ancient Georgian art. The villages, located on mountain slopes, still retain ancient dwellings — Machubi with spacious rooms and sheds, high defense towers, and small medieval churches. Only in Svaneti there are frescoes of secular character, which have survived from the Middle Ages.

We have three main international airports in Georgia : Tbilisi international airport, Kutaisi and Batumi international airports. Batumi and Kutaisi are closer to Svaneti than Tbilisi. We will . On this day guests will check in at one of the hotels in Mestia and in the evening have a walk in the center of the town and visit Mikhail Khergiani Museum. Overnight at Mestia in a cozy hotel.
Start the day with a nice breakfast, enjoy your different morning. We will start the day with visiting Svaneti museum of History and Ethnography, where you will learn much about this place and people. Continuing out tour with a cable car and visit Hatvali mountain. The highest altitude above sea level is 3248 meters. You can have lunch or coffee here and enjoy breathtaking views of mountains. Note that Hatvali is a ski resort, if you visit during winter time, please be sure to wear proper, warm clothes. You can skii and enjoy snow during winter time. After spending some time here coming back to Mestia, take a rest at the hotel. Overnight and getting ready for the next day.
After breakfast we will travel to Ushguli. Recognized as the Upper Svaneti UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ushguli is one of the highest continuously inhabited settlements in Europe. On the way we will stop in Heshkili huts, where you can take some rest, have your coffee or tea and enjoy the view of Beautiful svaneti. Afterwards we will see The Ushguli church of the Mother of God - Lamaria, the love tower, Queen Tamar Summer and Watermelon Towers. Summer towers were dismantled in the 1950s and used as a farm building material.Coming back to Mestia and overnight in our hotel.
Day will start with breakfast, afterwards we will pick our lunch, water and get ready for hiking. Visiting one of the must see places in Svaneti - Koruldi Lake. The lake is located 2850 m above sea level. From this place you can see the villages of Upper Svaneti and the Enguri gorge, as well as the Caucasus glaciers, Shkhara, Tetnuldi, Ushba, leila. Coming back to Mestia in the evening and have dinner at a traditional Restaurant. Taste traditional food and listen to traditional folklore music. Overnight and pack our baggage.
